Green Energy Certificate to Pass the Exporter

İbrahim Şahintaş, Chairman of the Board of TEK Energy, said that as of June 1, consumers can choose to use the energy produced from renewable resources, and said, "Exporting companies that do this will gain very important advantages."

The Green Energy System, which certifies that consumers obtain the electricity they use from renewable energy sources, will officially start from 1 June. Evaluating the new era, İbrahim Şahintaş, Chairman of the Board of TEK Energy, said, "Of the companies that will reduce our dependence on foreign energy and adapt to this process, especially exporters will gain great advantages in competition."

IT WILL BE REFLECTED IN THE PRICES

Emphasizing that Turkey's total installed power in renewable energy has exceeded 97 thousand megawatts and the share of natural gas in electricity generation has decreased to 25 percent, İbrahim Şahintaş, Chairman of the Board of TEK Energy, said, “In this period, which is called the beginning of the green period in the energy sector, consumers will now be able to choose to use the energy produced from renewable resources. This will undoubtedly contribute significantly to facilities producing from renewable energy. We think that this system, which we see as an important step for the development of renewable energy, will have a positive impact on the renewable energy sector and this will have a positive impact on prices after a while.”

ATTENTION TO THE GREEN AGREEMENT!

Stating that the new era will create the market they need within the framework of the Green Agreement for companies exporting to European Union countries, Şahintaş said, “The European Green Agreement has emerged on the basis of environmental awareness, but it is a subject that will force international trade to transform completely. All companies exporting to the EU will have to adapt to the European Green Deal, which is the new growth strategy of the European Union, which includes the main goals of zeroing net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, ending the dependence of economic growth on resource use and not leaving any region behind. In the light of these facts, our country's taking great steps in renewable energy will remove the issue of foreign dependency on energy from our agenda as a country. As Bursa TEK Energy, we will continue our investments all over our country, especially in Bursa, which is the heart of the industry.”
